Join the Department of Microbiology and Immunology atthe Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity as a Project Manager supporting a major international research initiative targeting the global spread of HTLV1. Working in the laboratory of Professor Damian Purcell you will play a key role in managing a NHMRCAMED ASPIRE Grant project in partnership with leading virologists in Japan Australia and the USA.
This role will coordinate a collaborative research and mobility program focused on developing therapeutic interventions for all stages of HTLV1 infection. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the University of Melbourne including Doherty Institute and WEHI University of New South Wales with the Kirby Institute Queensland University of Technology and liaise with external partners including The National Institutes of Health in USA and The University of Tokyo Kumamoto University and Japans National Institute of Infectious Diseases.
Fluent in both English and Japanese you will be a highly organised communicator who thrives in a crosscultural multiinstitutional research environment. You will support highlevel project planning and delivery facilitate communications and ensure streamlined coordination across sectors and borders.
