Amazon is seeking an experienced Transfer Pricing Analyst to join our EMEA transfer pricing team in London. The role is focused on supporting Amazons related party transactions across businesses within EMEA. This is a mixed role covering planning monitoring documentation and defence of Amazons TP policies.
The candidate should have transfer pricing experience gained from either a large professional services firm or large multinational company tax department and be comfortable directly liaising with various business teams and other members of the global tax function.
Key job responsibilities
Supporting with the development implementation and monitoring of transfer pricing policies including:
Planning: business partnering supporting business launches and restructurings developing new TP policies financial modelling and business / asset / workforce valuations;
Implementation and controllership: supporting the implementation of new TP policies preparation and review of intercompany agreements monitoring TP outcomes compared to policy;
Compliance: contributing to and reviewing TP documentation benchmarking and other regulatory filings; and
Defence: supporting and preparing responses to transfer pricing audits preparing APA submissions and managing responses.
The role also involves providing ad hoc support to stakeholders engaged in planning controversy and compliance related activities contributing to the development of process improvement initiatives and working with outside advisors.
About the team
Amazons transfer pricing group is an integral part of the global tax function working closely with business and other tax stakeholders. The EMEA transfer pricing team is primarily located in the UK and Luxembourg.
Bachelors degree
Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department
Bachelors degree in Economics Finance Accounting or other relevant professional qualification
Extensive tax / transfer pricing experience ideally 5 years
Experience with analysing and implementing international transfer pricing regulations
Strong understanding of accounting concepts and tax law
Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced informal often ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical technical and problemsolving skills
Ability to extract analyze and review data and make appropriate recommendations
Detailoriented individual who is selfmotivated and takes ownership of projects
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and partner well with people at all levels within an organization
