JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees all Facilities Ride & Show Maintenance Central Services Landscaping and Engineering teams at Universal Kids Resort. Manages leadership responsible for daytoday park and hotel Technical Services functions. Establishes and oversees the planning and of annual accountabilities and objectives for the division while regularly partnering with other Universal Kids Resort departments and across Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) compliance and Technical Services teams as well as alignment with UDX policies and procedures. Oversees all Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) safety and financial aspects of Technical Services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and directs daily operation of the business through division management team with a focus on staffing controls and performance. Drives the development of management team through formal and informal training and role modeling. Develops Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) action plans and implements. Provides leadership coaching and mentoring to achieve maximum results and empower the management team to drive and make decisions. Creates a culture that is supportive and respectful to support a positive environment. Partners with Human Resources to manage concerns and issues in a timely manner and to resolution.
- Responsible for the overall Guest and Team Member experience communication of goals and expectations and ensuring safety standards are maintained. Interacts with Team Members guests and key partners monitors equipment and infrastructure needs generates efficiency objectives and plans. Responsible for adherence and interaction with applicable regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Directs budgeting process and daily management of budgets analyzing fluctuations in business units and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary. Partners across Universal Kids Resort and Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) to create synergies for company goals. Develops longrange capital plans and manages annual capital requests. Oversees the prioritization approval and implementation of Capital and Expense projects. Provides leadership and strategic oversight for initiative management ensuring ontime/onbudget development and implementation.
- Leads the design development deployment of Technical Services resources. Partners and collaborates closely with Operations Revenue Operations and Safety & Security to identify efficiencies and optimize the guest experience. Directs Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) initiatives for downtime reduction and superior operational readiness of attractions and resort. Develops and drives the implementation of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiative within Ride and Show Maintenance. Responsible for monitoring industry trends and ensuring compliance with Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) and ASTM standards. Creates standards procedures and accountability metrics for operation training and safety including Team Member EHS compliance (ensures teams are working within compliance and are current on all training of proper safety compliance and regulations). Develops and manages 3rd party vendor relationships where applicable. Identifies lifecycle of resort facilities and assets (including but not limited to: buildings walkways parking areas park and hotel) and manages Planned Work Projects across resort with responsibilities for project estimating budgeting proper permitting and energy conservation. Addresses show quality items and maintains show quality standards.
- Partners with Universal Creative in the new attraction evaluation and review to make sure new attractions are delivered correctly and completely. Reviews scope of work designs deliverables and testing results of all new attractions for safety maintainability and reliability.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities (KSAs) required.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM (F24 and OSHA standards required. NAARSO or AIMS Certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem solving troubleshooting capabilities organized collaborative and selfmotivated.
- Knowledgeable of materials material properties and characteristics.
- Proficiency in mechanical drawings and technical documents.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree from a fouryear college or university in Business Management Engineering or Construction preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years theme park maintenance experience with 3 or more years leadership experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
