Position Responsibilities:

• Operate numerical controlled inspection and measuring machines according to established programs documents and quality standards performing all necessary inspection functions.

• Select and set up appropriate tools fixtures and equipment to accomplish work assignments effectively.

• Manually operate machines to validate control media and perform inspection functions as required.

• Initiate and document any nonconforming materials hardware or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.

• Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments and devices to set up machines and perform layout for assigned work.

• Rig and move parts/tools to the CMM table using appropriate material handling equipment.

• Apply mathematical principles including geometry and trigonometry to complete work assignments accurately.

• Coordinate inspection activities make intershift tieins and plan and arrange work assignments while referring discrepancies to supervisors.

• Create and implement checking fixtures or shop aids as necessary to facilitate work assignments.

• Assemble inspection data maintain accurate records and generate reports as required including electronic testing results.

• Verify all necessary documentation including work orders and specifications ensuring completeness and accuracy.

• Set up and calibrate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for inspections including downloading or writing computer programs as needed.

• Perform manual inspections of parts and assemblies to verify compliance with inspection parameters and specifications documenting required information.

• Maintain and clean coordinate measuring machines coordinating with maintenance as necessary and handle hazardous materials in an approved manner.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 1015 lbs to 1535 lbs.

• Engage in various movements such as reaching handling turning twisting lifting lowering climbing balancing bending kneeling crouching and squatting.

• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals solvents and coolants.

• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools sharp cutters and potential slipping hazards.

• Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

• Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes hands/arms and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience in setting and using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers calipers and/or dial indicators.

• 1 years of experience using software applications for internet navigation email Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.

• 1 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design).

• 1 years of experience calibrating and/or using coordinate measurement machines laser trackers and/or optical measurement devices.

• Ability to read write and speak English fluently.

• Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 68 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience conducting Inspections using ASME Standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).

Typical Education & Experience:

High school graduate or GED preferred.
