Position Overview
AE Works is seeking a Senior/Lead Plumbing / Fire Protection Designer to join our a Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer at AE Works you will be responsible for work with our multidiscipline design teams on designing plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects.
This position can be based out of either our Pittsburgh PA office or our Arlington VA office andcomes with a competitive salary based on relevant experience as well as generous perks and benefits including medical vision dental and disability insurancegenerous paid time off and paid holidays a 401k dressforyourday dress code virtual working capability and a workformhome equipment allowance.

Responsibilities
- Project Planning & : Perform design and drawings of plumbing and fire protectionsystems for building projects both new construction and renovation within various market segments. Develop drawings and specifications at each project submission
- Leadership & Team Development: Participate in meetings internally and externally to collaborate with other team members and Clients
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate drawing sets with the project team including inhouse architects engineers and interior designers as well as subconsultants
- Client Collaboration: Travel with team members for onsite collaboration and investigations
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years relevant design experience in the building industry. Project experience in healthcare laboratories higher education government facilities preferred.
- Attributes: Exceptional communication and listening skills. Strong leadership and mentorship experience leading plumbing engineering and design projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Revit. High proficiency in using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration.
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in relevant field
- Certification: Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) credential preferred
