Job Description
Come join the Amazon Key team and help transform the customer delivery experience at scale! Key for Business (KFB) is our patented building access technology that supports Amazon Last Mile operations across various regions. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineering (BIE) Manager who is passionate about leveraging data to drive insights optimize operations and support strategic decisionmaking.
The ideal candidate will be a resultsoriented leader who can thrive in an ambiguous and fastpaced business landscape. You should be analytically strong datadriven and customerobsessed with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will manage a highperforming team of Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) Data Engineers (DEs) and Analysts to build scalable reporting and analytics solutions that enable better decisionmaking across the organization.
As a leader you will own key business metrics drive automation and standardize reporting frameworks to support Amazon Keys growth. You should have excellent business and communication skills strong stakeholder management abilities and a deep understanding of how data can improve both customer experience and operational efficiency.
This position is open in SeattleWA and Austin TX. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of these locations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Hire develop and lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) Data Engineers (DEs) and Business/Data Analysts.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior leadership and crossfunctional teams to understand data needs and provide scalable BI solutions.
Data Strategy & Metrics: Define track and maintain key business metrics to monitor operational performance and drive business decisions.
BI & Reporting Solutions: Design implement and support automated dashboards reports and selfservice BI tools to democratize data across teams.
Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data integrity accuracy and consistency in all reporting and analytics frameworks.
Process Optimization: Drive automation and operational efficiencies in reporting pipelines eliminating manual processes where possible.
DeepDive Analytics: Conduct deep dives into large complex datasets to identify trends diagnose problems and uncover opportunities for process improvement.
Technical Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineering Hardware and Software Development teams to enable better data capture integration and storage solutions.
Business Reviews: Own reporting for Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Weekly Business Reports (WBR).
DataDriven Decision Making: Leverage data and statistical analysis to drive recommendations that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading BI & analytics teams in a fastpaced highgrowth environment.
Strong knowledge of SQL data modeling ETL pipelines and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau QuickSight Power BI).
Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Redshift Spark Athena Snowflake) is a plus.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leadership decisions through data.
Passion for building scalable BI solutions that empower nontechnical users to make datadriven decisions.
7 years of business intelligence and analytics experience
5 years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team including employee development and performance management experience
Experience with SQL
Experience with ETL
Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools
Experience with R Python Weka SAS Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
4 years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
10 years of data warehouse technical architectures data modeling infrastructure components ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments data structures and handson SQL coding experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
