Job Description

Position: Volunteer Services Supervisor

Location: Richland Washington

Type: FullTime Exempt

Anticipated Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends for events.


Compensation

Hiring Range: $7797920/annual $85777.12/annual

Position Salary Range: $77979.20/annual $93575.04/annual

Position Overview:

The Volunteer Services Supervisor is the Volunteer Coordinator and is a vital part of TriCities Chaplaincy. The Volunteer Services Supervisor is a leader responsible for overseeing the volunteer services program and ensuring a seamless volunteer experience. The primary role of the Volunteer Services Supervisor includes supervising and supporting volunteers coordinating volunteer activities and collaborating with various departments to ensure that volunteers are integrated effectively into the agencys programs and services. The Volunteer Supervisor will work closely with leadership and other staff members to ensure a positive and productive volunteer experience that aligns with the agencys mission and goals.


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience considered.
  2. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and support volunteers.
  3. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact with diverse groups of volunteers and staff.
  5. Empathy patience and the ability to build positive relationships with volunteers.
  6. Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. A passion for community service and an understanding of the value of volunteerism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in a related field.
  2. Previous experience in volunteer management supervision or related roles..

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Pay Range/Salary Range: The full pay range for this position from minimum to maximum based on role responsibilities and market rates.

At TriCities Chaplaincy we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account including education certifications knowledge skills experience and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.

Requirements

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Mission Vision and Values: Demonstrate support and adherence to the agencys Mission Vision and Values.
  2. Community Outreach: Participate in education and outreach activities to promote agency programs including hospice care advanced planning and bereavement services.
  3. Policy Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies procedures and practices.
  4. Confidentiality: Protect patient and agency information per HIPAA guidelines. Only access information on a needtoknow basis.
  5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
  6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization declinations or approved accommodations as applicable.
  7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
  8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)
  9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
  10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training be designated deadlines.
  11. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.
  12. Language Proficiency: Read write speak and understand English fluently.
  13. Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
