Job Description
The Admissions Counselor & Assistant Director for Honors College contributes to the pursuit of the universitys and colleges goals through enrollment management in the Honors College. The assistant director works closely with the Dean of the Honors College to develop implement and adjust recruitment strategy. The assistant director serves as a point of contact for prospective Honors College students and their families. They must be knowledgeable about TU programs and services and serve as a positive representative of TU while working with prospective students and families engaging with high school contacts and interacting with internal stakeholders. The assistant director identifies prospective students through travel interaction with campus visitors and by personal outreach including phone text and email. In addition to prospective students the assistant director develops positive relationships with high school counselors parents alumni and faculty. The assistant director is responsible for encouraging interest in TU and the Honors College assisting with application generation and completion and serving as the TU point of contact for any other issues that arise during the Honors College admission process. The assistant director serves as the main point of contact between the Office of Admission and the Honors College. Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Honors College recruitment strategy development implementation data collection and analysis Travel including high school visits college fairs presentations and programming Development and management of Honors College communication flow for prospective students families and high school counselors On campus programming including hosting daily visitors admission events and presentations Outreach/responding to students families high school counselors and other university constituents via email phone mail and text Management of Honors College application process and decision release Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: Equivalent Education/Experience Bachelors Degree 2 years experience working in a university setting or admission or recruitment related experience Knowledge/Skill/Ability Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Attention to detail Must be willing to work evenings and weekends and be able to travel frequently Ability to multitask efficiently in a fastpaced environment and respond to all in a prompt manner Proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with Access Word PowerPoint and Outlook A collaborative team player who can coordinate work effectively with employees team members and outside stakeholders Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Demonstrated practice of establishing effective priorities and meeting deadlines Strong customer service with a cando attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in Slate Colleague ImageNow or any other Customer Relationship Management CRM system
