Job Description
Pay:$25.25 per hour!
Nature of Work:
Responsible for the provision of casework services to individuals and/or their families including children to assist them with their social emotional economic and environmental difficulties. This position is responsible for the provision and/or arrangement of an array of services including but not limited to individual and/or family counseling parent education crisis intervention assessing the safety of children and familiesetc.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Good knowledge of the practices and procedures of social casework and of social factors affecting individuals and families; good knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques.
- Good knowledge of the methods used in the development of case plans; working knowledge of the Federal State and Local laws affecting the social casework program; working knowledge of social health vocational and other related agencies and programs in the area available for assistance andreferral.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of persons including clients social workers medical and legal professionals government and law enforcement officials and members of the general public.
- Ability to assess clients needs and develop sound and effective plans to meet those needs; ability to deal with a wide variety of people with an extraordinary amount of tact and courtesy.
- Ability to keep case records and prepare reports; ability to organized and plan work effectively; ready access to transportation to meet field work requirements; good powers of observation and analysis; initiative and resourcefulness; creativity and imagination; emotional maturity; goodjudgment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Psychology Social Work or a related Human Service field with one year of direct experience working with highrisk youth and families.
- Must maintain a valid drivers license and driving record that meets Pathways insurability guidelines to operate agency owned vehicles.
- Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care Day Care and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children.
