Job Description
Business Unit Electrolyzer and Fuel cell Technology (BUEFT) within Alfa Laval is looking for Development Engineer. Your task will be equipment design process simulation and development in close cooperation with suppliers manufacturing units and product development challenging existing concepts within is done in our 3DCAD system and product data is managed in our PDM system.

About the job
We offer an interesting job opportunity within the Business Unit Electrolyzer and Fuel cell Technology (BUEFT) for you who enjoy working with key customers in a global market. Key is for you to have knowledge of manufacturing/production processes.
You will be based in Lund and report to Head of Concept Development for Electrolyzer and Fuel cell technologies.
As Development Engineer you will work with the process development for our different development platforms (Bipolar Plates Metallic Interconnect Fusion Bonded heat exchanger)
You will work mainly with technologies in project form in very close cooperation with other Development engineers Application specialists and Laboratory technicians. In addition you will interact with suppliers as well as key customers.
Your main responsibilities include development design and optimization of equipment for the three platforms including the development of the monitoring and control system for securing the process stability. Simulation and optimization of the critical process steps is under your area of responsibility. Design is done in our 3DCAD system and product data is managed in our PDM system.
Key tasks:
Simulate and optimize the key process steps
Innovate develop verify and implement new equipment/technologies/processes/systems
Deeply involved in crossfunctional development project teams where the process design and mechanical equipment will be your responsibility area.
Develop the monitoring and the control system to secure the stability of the complex manufacturing processes in order to secure the ability for scaling up the process itse

What you know
You have a background as a development engineer with a university or masters degree in mechanical engineering. We expect that you have experience in product/process development with good knowledge of working with 3DCAD. Experience in working with agile development is a plus.
As a person you are creative with analytical skills and interested in new technology. You are clear in your communication and you are committed to delivering according to requirements.
Besides professional working experience we believe that you are passionate about sustainability and like to constantly grow your experience. Excellent communication skills fluent in written and spoken English is a requirement.
