We are looking to hire a Technical Support Analyst to join our Markham team on a 3 month contract basis. The main purpose of this role is to perform duties related to a Windows 11 upgrade and deployment. Applicants should work well in a fast paced environment and have proven organizational prioritization and interpersonal skills.
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment.

- Windows Server administration experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Process support requests; maintaining accountability and ownership of incident until resolved
- Install configure and maintain computer workstations and servers within a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Install configure and maintain peripherals and network hardware.
- Document configurations and operating standards and practices.
- Implement and monitor security policies.
- Perform data backup and recovery.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as required.
- Configure and troubleshoot corporate email (Exchange)
- Miscellaneous other duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 education with preference given to individuals with postsecondary IT diploma/degree.
- 13 years of related industry experience with upgrade and deployment
- Solid understanding of recent or latest version of Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Active Directory user and group administration
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware
- Experience with email administration (Exchange O365 an asset
- Familiarity with Symantec suite of security software an asset
- Hire will be required to work out of Markham location 23x per week and 5 days per week during initial training period).
