GEs Power Conversion and Storage business part of GE Vernova provides electrification systems that are critical to customers power and energy needs for their highperformance applications. We work with some of the worlds major energy maritime and industrial organizations helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization including through our specialist motors drives and control technologies.

About the Apprenticeship
As an apprentice at Power Conversion and Storage you will be part of an Advanced Apprenticeship Programme in our Field Service Engineering department. You will work closely with experienced mentors and be part of a team working on real electrical propulsion & power systems onboard the Royal Navys latest vessels. This is an excellent opportunity to earn while attaining a

recognised qualification.


Essential Responsibilities
Our apprentices follow a 42month training scheme. During this time you will spend 1 day per week at college the remaining 4 days per week will be spent working from our Portsmouth Service Centre developing the skills learned at college whilst working alongside our engineers. During this time candidates can expect to gain a thorough grounding in the key areas required for a career in modern engineering.


On completion of your apprenticeship there is the opportunity to become a fully fledged field service engineer working on cutting edge technologies across our installed base of equipment and systems throughout all our market sectors.


Entry Requirements
Candidates will need 72 UCAS points from a Level 3 qualification such as a National Diploma or Certificate in a related engineering subject or related Alevel subjects and/or equivalent qualifications and experience. Minimum Grade 4 required in GCSE Maths (previously grade C).
