Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and creative Sous Chef for a prestigious luxury boutique hotel located in Franschhoek. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic culinary professional looking to be part of a refined and forwardthinking kitchen team.
Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
Assist with the creation of innovative seasonal menus reflecting the propertys high standards
Maintain the highest level of hygiene and food safety in compliance with health regulations
Oversee food preparation and service during busy meal periods
Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff ensuring consistency and attention to detail
Assist in stock control ordering and cost management
Maintain excellent communication with frontofhouse to ensure seamless guest service
Uphold the brand s standards of excellence and guest satisfaction at all times
Formal culinary qualification
Minimum of 3 5 years experience in a similar role within a fine dining or luxury hotel environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a team
Passionate about quality presentation and culinary innovation
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
Wellorganized with a proactive approach to kitchen management
Able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
Must have reliable transport (LiveOut role)
