Senior Engineer Golang - Logistics AI Autopilot

We are on the lookout for a Senior Engineer (Golang) to join the AI Autopilot team in Logistics on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

In our Logistics Team youll tackle highimpact challenges that make lastmile delivery efficient affordable and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders end customers and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize delivery operations supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.

We are committed to automate the daily work of support agents providing customers a great support experience while making sure our human agents can focus on the harder problems. Our internal tool Agent Copilot already provides our human agents stepbystep instructions to solve a customers problem in adherence to the standard operating procedures and even uses LLMs to  understand automatically when customers provide relevant details in the chat. Your job is to take this to the next level: Virtual Agents. This new set of tools and services will  play a crucial role in achieving our goal by applying the latest AI technology and innovative solutions to automate the whole conversation with the customer and the problem resolution.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand and address challenges in the automated conversation with customers.

• Design and develop features that improve the quality of automated chats covering various problem spaces such as natural language understanding conversational flow & engagement or handling errors & uncertainty in human language.

• Implement and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems integrating with major thirdparty AI solutions or selfhosted solutions.

• Continuously monitor and optimize system performance. We live devops.

• Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies in the field of AI and NLP.

• Design and implement cuttingedge solutions that will transform the customer support industry.

• Craft and maintain worldclass hightraffic services and APIs in a team of experienced software engineers.

• Participate in code reviews and application debugging and diagnosis.

• Practice modern software development methodologies such as Continuous Delivery TDD and Scrum.

• Provide the best value for our stakeholders and customers by maintaining alignment with our product vision.

Qualifications :

• Golang expert with 3 years of experience specializing in distributed systems and largescale applications.

• Strong computer science foundation including data structures algorithms and software design.

• Experience of cloud platform hosting via AWS/GCP and infrastructure as code (Terraform CloudFormation Helm).

• Proficient in SQL databases and skilled in building scalable highperformance services.

• Commitment to engineering excellence including highquality code automated testing and best practices.

• Pragmatic and collaborative able to work independently make decisions and take ownership beyond deployment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with implementing chatbots.

• Experience with VertexAI and LLMs

• Familiar with common CI/CD tools like Jenkins Drone spinnaker.

• Familiar with common monitoring / alerting / logging tools such as Grafana Prometheus Datadog distributed tracing

• Building maintaining & running a high traffic system in a microservice environment with kubernetes.

• Familiar with communication between microservices best practices.

• Superior knowledge in relational databases (ACID isolation & index types storage engines) especially with PostgreSQL

• Knowledge on documentoriented databases (MongoDB Couchbase DynamoDB Firestore).
