We are on the lookout for an Associate Data Scientist to join our GlobalRanking and Recommendations domain and help us enhance our user experience and with that help our customers easily discover new products and vendors. At Delivery Hero youll shape the global consumer experience for millions of users. Your work will have a direct impact on how we attract and retain customers creating datadriven personalized interactions that keep them coming back. As part of our Consumer Team youll enhance customer satisfaction and drive global growth and profitability through innovative projects.
Deep dive into our data to generate insights about our customers our products and our existing recommendation techniques.
Develop new data products from conception to production to help optimize our recommendation systems and improve the experience for our customers.
Transform fuzzy/highlevel requirements and objectives to solvable problem statements and requirements
Collaborate with Senior Data Scientists Product Specialists and user experience squads to understand business processes identify data and solution requirements.
Work with Data Engineers / MLOps to optimize and deploy your models.
Scale up your algorithm to provide business value in dozens of countries globally supporting multiple brands and millions of customers.
Help defining data needs to further improve existing algorithms.
Work with structured and semistructured data from different data sources (BigQuery PostgreSQL etc and many more).
Contribute and make an impact in a global fastmoving tech organization.
Qualifications :
Your heroic skills:
You understand the foundations of Statistics and Data Science and are willing to learn how to apply them in different business contexts.
You have basic knowledge in Python and SQL and you can write maintainable code that follows best practices in software engineering.
Through the use of SQL queries you are able to explore our data universe and gather data to support your analysis and the development of Machine Learning solutions.
You understand the basic concepts of data cleaning and engineering techniques and would implement them efficiently.
You are able to communicate your ideas and can explain the intuition behind your modeling approach to people with different backgrounds.
You love to learn are a critical thinker creative problem solver who strives for excellence and are a team player who loves to collaborate.
Fluency in English
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the basic ML libraries such as numpy pandas scikitlearn matplotlib.
You have a basic understanding of development best practices and take into consideration maintainability scalability and code quality with the help of more senior colleagues.
You are able to think systematically and deep dive in our business problems providing solutions that are structured in a logical manner.
Working knowledge of cloud systems like GCP Bigquery is an added advantage.
