Get to Know the Team
Grabs Fulfilment Team acts as a horizontal platform tech family with the goal of deepening fulfilment capabilities for all Grab businesses in a platform manner and providing them solutions which help connect our driver partners to Grab customers and create a highly reliable cost efficient and faster transportation and logistics platform.
The Fulfilment Product Analytics Team advances product innovation with analytics and experimentation best practices. We ship a large number of features and that means tuning models evaluating changes and running experiments to drive better outcomes for our driver partners and millions of customers across South East Asia. We are looking for an passionate data scientist to join our growing team.
Get to Know the Job
Your role is to help product teams be more datadriven and objective provide guidance for the design of controlled experiments and influence the direction of our product roadmap with data. You will work with product managers engineers designers and business stakeholders across the company with recommendations on how to learn from unexpected results study underlying causes for them and iterate on the next set of products to build for our users.
This role is based in Petaling Jaya and onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will be an industry subject matter expert in using data to measure and analyze business/product performance in each of our markets and lines of business.
- You will lead the exploration of business/product issues/opportunities uncover insights and/or identify targeted areas for growth.
- You will partner closely with the broader product and engineering team to design and analyze experiments that drive key product decisions.
- You will localize tune inproduction models to new cities / markets to enable product velocity.
- You will lead expert teams to rollout effective products/services and to expand Grabs universe of data for building richer insights.
- You will provide thought leadership and generate datadriven hypotheses to solve key Product/Business problems.
- You will develop mixed effect causal inference models to understand interaction effects or product configurations that are working sub optimally.
- You will build and manage anomaly detection systems to intelligently alert about slowmoving changes or sudden anomalies in product or system metrics.
- You will develop analytics tools to help data teams and other disciplines be more effective at debugging data summarization and at debugging data summarization and at analysis of results.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have at least 4 years of experience in datarelated or quantitative fields such as Analytics Science Statistics or Mathematics.
- You are fluent with SQL Python R or other scripting/programming languages.
- You are experienced in handling large datasets and maintaining complex Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
- You have solid statistical knowledge and handson experience running and analysing controlled experiments.
- You are proficient in creating dashboards using Tableau PowerBI or other visualisation tools.
