POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Improvement Evaluation and Training (QIET) department is seeking an Evaluation Analyst to play a critical role in assessing the effectiveness of our programs and initiatives. This position will involve designing and implementing evaluation projects analyzing data and communicating findings to support decisionmaking to enhance our impact. This position will report to the Director of Evaluation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the planning development and implementation of program evaluation activities.
- Monitor data quality and work closely with program staff to improve and refine data collection processes and procedures.
- Train staff on data collection procedures and provide technical support for Apricot our cloudbased case management system ensuring alignment with best practices for case management and data integrity.
- Utilize project management skills to support initiatives including but not limited to developing scope and timeline for evaluation projects tracking deliverables and project timelines and facilitating workgroups and adhoc meetings.
- Assist in developing and administering data collection tools such as data tracking forms surveys qualitative interviews or focus groups.
- Clean analyze and interpret programmatic data collected through electronic surveys using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Perform descriptive and multivariate statistical analyses of data.
- Utilize data visualization and presentation principles to create impactful tables graphs fact sheets and reports effectively communicating evaluation results to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Bachelors degree in social sciences public health statistics or a related discipline required.
- Masters degree preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Deep passion for URIs mission vision and core values.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g. SPSS R or Stata) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- 3 years experience in research and/or evaluation particularly within a nonprofit or social services context.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive successful outcomes.
