Job Description
Get to Know the Team
As a FrontEnd Engineer in the Chroma team youll be part of Grabs Web Platform group responsible for building the core infrastructure and modern microfrontend architecture that powers internal web applications across the company.
Your work will span two key areas:
- Platform Engineering: Youll help design and build CI/CDready frameworks frontend infrastructure and reusable UI components that enable other teams to efficiently develop highquality web applications.
- Application Development: Youll also use these platform tools and technologies to develop scalable userfocused web portals used across Grab.
Youll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle from architecture and design to deployment and performance optimization playing a key role in shaping the future of web development at Grab
Get to Know the Role
As a FrontEnd Engineer in the Chroma team you will report to the Engineering Manager and work on multiple internal web portals and UI components that are used across Grab. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle from design to deployment ensuring highquality code performance and contribute to the webkit tool which is an important enabler for rapid web development at Grab. You will work onsite at Grab office CMC Creative Space District 7 HCMC.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will develop the frontend of Grab internal portals and reusable UI components built by the Chroma team.
- You will develop the webkit tool that is used for building react applications at Grab.
- You will integrate the Chroma components with multiple internal portals.
- You will collect and analyze user feedback identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.
- You will implement best practices for web development ensuring highquality code and observing performance security and accessibility standards.
- You will maintain documentation of portal design and features
- You will assess new technologies and techniques to enhance the engineering capabilities of the team.
- You will identify issues implement fixes and ensure portal stability and performance.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- At least 4 years of experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as ReactJS (preferred) Ant Design Micro Frontends and Webpack.
- Strong communication skills in English with the ability to effectively provide updates and resolutions to customers and crossfunctional partners.
- Solid experience in web development along with a willingness to engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools with handson experience integrating frontend applications into automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Comfortable working across the stack with familiarity in building APIs implementing BackendforFrontend (BFF) layers and working with databases when needed to support frontend functionality.
- Experience with a relational database such as MySQL PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Experience deploying code in AWS Azure or Google Cloud environments
