Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Travel Specialist for a leading luxury safari tour company based in Sandton. This role is perfect for a servicedriven and detailoriented individual with a passion for African travel and creating worldclass guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage professionally with guests shareholders staff and media via phone and email
Plan and design bespoke itineraries for clients internal stakeholders and journalists
Manage reservation requests from initial inquiry to final confirmation including quoting invoicing payment collection and issuing travel documents
Sell the companys full range of travel products and services
Deliver exceptional guest service with attention to every detail
Liaise with internal teams suppliers and clients to ensure smooth operations
Ensure a maximum turnaround time of 8 working hours for all inquiries
Participate in Saturday public holiday and emergency duty rotations
Provide backup support to team members during absences
Continuously expand product knowledge through training and experience
Uphold the brand s values in all interactions and service delivery
Knowledge Required:
Strong understanding of Southern and East African travel destinations
Familiarity with FIT and Group travel procedures and policies
Knowledge of SADC Residents offers and staff travel benefits
Experience with Tourplan NX or similar booking systems
Working knowledge of WETU and preferably Zoho
Strong grasp of sales methodologies and customer journey processes
Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative data for business decisions
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Selfdriven with strong time management and prioritization skills
Capable of creative problem solving and crafting unique guest experiences
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong conflict resolution and client relationship skills
Commercial awareness and decisionmaking capabilities
Experience and Personal Attributes:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a tour consulting role
Previous experience working with Tourplan NX is advantageous
Enthusiastic energetic and proactive
Methodical and highly attentive to detail
Able to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
Committed to guest satisfaction and excellence in service
High level of responsibility and professionalism
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed
