Kinship Care Practitioner

Join Baptcares Community Services team and make a profound impact on the lives of vulnerable families and children. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Kinship Care Practitioner to support our efforts in providing exceptional care and support services in the West region.
As a Kinship Care Practitioner you will play a pivotal role in promoting and facilitating kinship care arrangements for children who cannot live with their parents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assessing and supporting kinship carers: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify suitable kinship carers including extended family members or significant others who can provide a nurturing and stable environment for children in need.
Case management and support: Develop and implement tailored case plans ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children in kinship care arrangements. Provide ongoing support advocacy and guidance to kinship carers addressing their unique challenges and needs.
Collaboration and networking: Work closely with various stakeholders including government agencies community organizations and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination of care.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate and uptodate records prepare reports and ensure compliance with relevant policies procedures and legal requirements.
To excel in this role you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification in social work psychology or a related field coupled with experience in child protection family services or kinship care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will interact with diverse families and professionals.
