Who Youll Work With
As a Senior Principal in Strategy specializing in Sports Marketing you will partner with our senior leaders to develop implement & assess longterm strategies to drive the future of our relationships with our athletes teams & are at the center of everything we do at Nike and this role will look to drive both distinction and advantage through our athlete team & league partnerships into the future.
This is a uniquerole blending leftbrain and rightbrain skills and interests marrying business and strategic rigor operations discipline plus an innovators knownoboundaries creativity. It requires a flexible problem solver and outstanding communicator who is comfortable working crossfunctionally and influencing different personalities and perspectives.
Who We Are Looking For
The role will support different groups across our Advanced Innovation Team working with designers developers engineers and innovators to create the future of product for Nike.
- 8 years of proven experience in creative strategy entrepreneurialism management consulting corporate strategy corporate development or business development. Or 6 years of experience 2 years experience postgraduation) with a masters degree in business entrepreneurialism or creative strategy. Or 10 years total relevant experience is preferred in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
- A passion for sport and athletes plus a curiosity and aptitude for shaping the future of sport and the role of athletes teams and leagues in fueling Nikes growth.
- Experience in leading sophisticated strategic projects and proven success in leading a methodical process of analyzing problems gathering information generating options then proposing and acting on a course of action.
- Ability to lead crossfunctional teams provide project management expertise and to lead multiple projects at once.
- Consistent track record of pulling together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussions.
- Proficiency in business communication tools and verbal/written storytelling communication to promote conceptual understanding and mobilize change through storytelling.
- Experience in innovation product creation or digital and/or experience in consumer facing industries.
- Bias towards action and comfortable working in ambiguous environments and ability to work through macro and micro situations/complexity.
- Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Prior experience in innovation or product creation and a passion about products.
- Create white space for innovation and risk taking. A curious mind and futureorientation.
