Maintenance Mechanic MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A 12 HOUR ROTATING SHIFT ROTATING DAYS TO NIGHTS Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Preventative and Predictive maintenance of equipment through observation and established testing metrics
- Identify correct replacement parts.
- Perform repairs to equipment
- Safely operate powered hand tools hoists and other lifting devices.
- Assess condition of existing parts utilizing precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read prints drawings and shop manuals for correct specifications of equipment to be maintained.
- Oils and greases equipment
- Lubricates cleans parts and equipment
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience/Education: - 1 year of industrial experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience installing repairing and troubleshooting pumps conveyors hydraulic assemblies fans gearboxes and other types of rotating equipment.
- General knowledge of hydraulics minor welding and minor pipe repair are benefits as well.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills - Available to work 12 hours rotating shifts
- Decision making and troubleshooting abilities good communication and computer skills
- Must be highly motivated conscientious and a good team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work safely in a industrial environment.
- Experience tools use (i.e Micrometers laser alignment etc) and repair or manufacture of repair parts within specifications/tolerances.
