The Campus Security Officer is customer service oriented and responsible for ensuring a safe secure and welcoming environment for faculty staff students and guests on campus. Renton Technical College has a very diverse student staff and faculty population. Work hours for this position will be from6:00am 2:00pm on Saturdays. Renton Technical College located southeast of Seattle has provided quality education in a variety of occupations for over 80 years. Our professionaltechnical certificate and degree programs offer entry and midlevel training in the areas of allied health trades and industry culinary business technology and automotive. Our outstanding college & career pathways program with classes in adult basic education English as a second language and GED preparation is available to those who need additional preparation before entering a training program and for those who simply wish to improve their math and English skills. Career Education and apprenticeships degrees round out our offerings.
This positionis represented by The Renton Professional Technical Association (ProfTech). The parttime Campus Security Officer is a classified and overtime eligible position and is a member of the Campus Security Department. This position reports to the Security Field Supervisor and Director of Safety and Security under the Department of Student Services.The pay range for this role is $26.85 $35.64hourlyand salary placement is based on applicable work experience.New hires may not be placed above Step 10 $33.81.ProfTech employees receive a yearly degree stipend if they have an Associates degree $150 Bachelors $250 or a Masters $350. Other benefits are listed on our benefitspageand in theCollective Bargaining Agreement.The priority consideration for applicants is May 9th 2025.
