Job Description
Eden Central School is seeking an enthusiastic openminded Art teacher with a growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers. This Art teacher position would be a .4 FTE job working two days/week. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborative team member who is committed to continuing to work on their teaching practice through professional development. The teacher will be expected to nurture understanding and appreciation of art and how it can enhance student work through creativity and duties and responsibilities:Teach general art to elementary gradesTeach art fundamentals to students across grade and comfort level with drawing and painting at the elementary school levelComfortable with the use of technology in the art classroomExcellent classroom management skillsWide depth of knowledge of art styles and different art mediumsCultivates an appreciation for and enjoyment of art in our studentsPartners with classroom teachers to provide integrated experiences between academics and artistic experiences
