Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Building Control Surveyor on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 43.65 55.20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct full Building Control duties including plan checking site inspections dangerous structures demolitions and statutory consultations.
- Act as lead inspector for complex building regulation applications and supervise junior inspectors as appropriate.
- Manage and enforce compliance with building regulations and investigate contraventions including court proceedings when necessary.
- Maintain thorough and accurate case records in line with the Building Safety Regulators Operational Standards Rules.
- Support the Building Control Manager in the daytoday operations performance monitoring and statutory compliance of the service.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a construction related discipline e.g. Building Surveying Construction Management or similar or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Registered Building Inspector (RBI) with a maintained competency class and category commensurate with the more complex projects within NNC area.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
