Your Impact

As a Corporate Controller you will play a vital role in the preparation accuracy and integrity of the companys financial records including ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulations. The position will have primary responsibility for the development and administration of financial policies and procedures across the company. This will include oversight of accounting (US and Canada) accounts receivable accounts payable and credit / collections functions across the business. Your efforts will directly contribute to our companys success by playing a critical role in driving financial accuracy operational efficiency and strategic decisionmaking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities of the accounting organization including the accurate and timely dissemination of monthly financial results.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement cohesive financial and accounting policies for the company and future acquisitions.
  • Enhance financial reporting practices to improve the resiliency accuracy and transparency of the companys fiveday ledger close process.
  • Collaborate with the companys external auditors to successfully complete their annual audit and associated financial statements and notes.
  • Assess the impact of new accounting guidance or standards on the companys accounting policies and procedures. Design document and implement changes as required.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of the accounting modules and transaction flow in the companys upcoming ERP implementation
  • Review subsidiary account reconciliations on a monthly basis for all material balance sheet accounts
  • Perform the ledger closing for the companys Corporate headquarters
  • Reconcile and maintain the companys ownership schedule and bookkeep associated equity activity
  • Ensure commissions bonus compensation and other incentives and obligations are appropriately estimated and recognized on a monthly basis by the subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with internal and external tax resources to ensure all divisional and corporate tax requirements are satisfied. Ensure that tax provisions and prepayments are accurately presented.
  • Provide executive oversight of the companys accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Provide financial insight to the companys leadership and pursue special initiatives as identified by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with a geographically diverse team of professionals throughout the country.
  • Support and develop a team of financial professionals. Work with them to enhance the capabilities of their divisional accounting organizations.

Qualifications

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 810 years related experience required.
  • 35 years of experience leading a team of financial professionals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting preparation of financial results.
  • Excellent communication organizational and time management skills.
  • A proactive resultsdriven approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Information

  • Location: Norwalk CT on a hybrid schedule
  • Travel: Up to 15
  • Work Authorization: Must be able to show evidence of authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
