Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented selfdirected EMEA Event Manager to develop and grow the cloud computing businesses in Europe Middle East and Africa.
The EMEA Event Manager role is responsible for developing improving executing and measuring highly impactful B2B event programs. This is a fixed term contract for 14 months (maternity cover). This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting industry leading technology business.
Key tasks will include:
* Own event projects endtoend incl. strategy goal setting budget management agency management project planning stakeholder management delivery result tracking and debriefs
* Drive enablement scale and process improvements for AWS presence at third party events across EMEA (incl. events with strong AI focus)
* Own overall event strategy for AWS presence at third party events in EMEA (why what how) in close alignment with global and local stakeholders
* Use data and customer feedback to constantly improve event programs and the customer experience
* Deliver results including clear ROI reporting
* Think around the corner and drive innovation
The location of this role is either Munich (Germany) Amsterdam (Netherlands) or London (UK).
About the team
AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and midmarket accounts to enterpriselevel customers including public sector.
Within SMGS EMEA Events & Sponsorship Team is a diverse team of driven event program and sponsorship managers. We are known to deliver barraising event strategy planning enablement and for AWS events and third party trade shows. We work backwards from our external and internal customers and innovate on their behalf. We work hard have fun and make history.
Bachelors degree in Marketing Business or a related field
5 years of work experience in an eventrelated role
Experience in developing owning and executing successful B2B event programs end to end
Experience in driving innovative brand presence at large B2B trade shows
Skilled at driving central enablement support to enhance scale
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Innovative mindset adhoc problemsolving and ability to deal with ambiguity
Prior experience working with crossfunctional and international teams.
Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously and work across time zones
Masterss degree in Marketing Business or a related field
Work history in a (global) tech company
Experience in Generative AI Marketing
