The Floridian Club offers fivestar resort features including pools tennis courts and two restaurants: Salt & Oak and the Driftwood Caf. We are looking for a seasonal server who would thrive in a hospitality/culinary environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to members and guests while maintaining an innovative and creative environment! We are looking for Servers to join our team in the winter season ending in June working about 2030 hours a week for the morning and afternoon shifts.
Duties include: Responsible for serving food and beverage items to members and guests in a friendly enthusiastic professional and timely manner. Ability to focus attention on guest needs always remaining calm and courteous. Follow specified procedures to set up pool and beach stations properly. Set up the beach with chairs umbrellas and towels and ensure that guests are always provided with clean towels. Prepare tables for meals including setting up items such as linens silverware and glassware. Thoroughly familiar with the menus club service standards and procedures. Answers questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way. Take food and beverage orders from the members on handheld or ordertaking pads and deliver food to members and guests. Ability to utilize a Point of Sale (POS) system and properly input orders. Ensure transmission of food orders is verified by the Kitchen once an order has been inputted into POS. Know about coffee/tea service beverage lists promotions all menu items garnishes contents and preparation methods. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages. Experienced working in a customerfacing role. Able to easily converse with guests. Run food and drink orders for their tables and other staff members.
Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open seven days per week and weekend and holiday work will be required. Overtime may be available. On the job training not provided.

Other Special Skills and Requirements: Able to multitask without getting flustered. Able to respond well under pressure. Able to respond to change quickly. Comfortable memorizing orders and menus. Willing and able to be on their feet for 8 hours. Sell menu specials or limitedtime offers.
This position operates in a private club setting. The employee is exposed to weather conditions while serving guests outdoors. Work areas may be crowded and noisy. The employee makes frequent trips to the kitchen where air may be moist warm and odorous from cooking foods. The kitchen floor may be slippery from moisture and grease. The employee may be exposed to hazards including but not limited to cuts slipping tripping falls and burns. Frequent handwashing is required. Frequent use of stairs daily.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing and moving for an extended period. Constantly moving between in and outdoor environments. This position requires walking bending kneeling stooping and crouching. The work may need occasional carrying/lifting to 50 pounds weighing up to 20 pounds and pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds unassisted frequently reaching overhead. Arm strength and coordination must be sufficient to carry plates of food glasses and bottles and serve from large trays.
