Job Description

Job Description:

  • Performs and understands quality testing requirements for converting.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory.
  • Follows existing procedures applying to the Quality System.
  • Performs testing on Production samples at specified sampling frequencies in converting.
  • Enters required test results into the Quality Data System.
  • Reports test results to appropriate parties in a timely manner and assists in correcting undesired quality situations.
  • Performs special testing for support of product development validation and product investigations (nonconforming goods complaints recalls and returned goods).
  • Assists in preparing and providing material chemicals equipment and documents needed for performing quality functions.
  • Completes assigned reports and recommends appropriate actions based on findings.
  • Fills in for production personnel as required for business.
  • Assists in internal audits as issued by the Quality Manager.
  • Verifies data within the Quality Data System database.
  • Verifies Converting and Paper Machine lab equipment is working within acceptable tolerances in converting.
  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
  • Follows necessary GMP and ISO regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Standard knowledge of computers and basic office software.
  • Familiarity with a formal Quality System (ISO 9000 GMP/ QSR etc. preferred.
  • Basic math skills; statistics knowledge a plus.
  • Attention to detail good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fastpaced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Postsecondary education or experience in quality or laboratory testing preferred.

Opening will be for a 12 hour night shift position.
