Job Description
Position: Family Assistant
Location: Massapequa NY (Primary Home) Hampton Bays NY (Summer Home)
Rate: $30/hour DOE
Schedule: School Year: MondayFriday 12pm 7pm;Summer:MondayFriday 9am4pm Occasional Evenings/Saturdays
Start Date: ASAP LongTerm Role
A busy family in Massapequa NY is looking for a reliable and proactive Family Assistant to support their busy household. The family includes five children ranging in age from 6 to 16 a stayathome mom and a dad who works from home but travels frequently. Theyre seeking someone who can be a second set of handshelping keep the home running smoothly while supporting afterschool routines. The ideal candidate is organized calm takes initiative and works well in the background without being an overwhelming presence. This is a longterm position with summers spent in Hampton Bays just an hour away from their primary home.
Responsibilities:
- Laundry for the family (folding organizing putting away)
- Light housekeeping (no deep cleaning just tidying keeping clutter down)
- Household organizing and restocking
- Running errands (groceries returns dry cleaning etc.
- Help with basic meal prep
- Homework help for schoolaged kids
- Driving to and from afterschool activities. Use of family car
- Be a support to mom work as a team
- Travel to Hampton Bays during summer (homes are 1 hour apart)
- Be open to CPR and Heimlich training (family will cover training cost)
- Reliable kind and kidfriendly
- Proactive and thoughtfulable to anticipate needs
- Discreet calm and respectful of household boundaries
- Has a valid drivers license reliable personal vehicle
- Willing to get CPR and Heimlich certified (family will pay for training)
