Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team at a leading industrial manufacturing company in New Albany IN. The ideal candidate will have handson experience with powder coating or wet painting in an industrial setting. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing and applying coatings to metal parts and products ensuring highquality finishes that meet production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning sanding and masking.
Apply powder coating or wet paint to various parts and materials using spray guns and other industrial painting equipment.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality uniformity and proper application.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain and clean painting equipment ensuring optimal functioning and performance.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of painting projects in line with production schedules.
Manage and organize materials and inventory for paintrelated tasks.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in industrial painting are a plus.
Proven experience with powder coating or wet painting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highquality consistent finishes.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and products.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working with hazardous materials and in various temperature conditions.
