Job Description

Overview

Rain Bird Corporation is seeking a motivated and results driven Inside Sales Specialist to join our team within our Golf sales group. As an integral part of our Sales team you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence nurturing relationships and driving growth through virtual engagement with key influencers and potential customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a renowned industry leader all while growing your future.

Responsibilities

  • Inside Sales Program: Supports regional business development efforts through account planning research and lead generation to grow sales in key the golf market segment. Work directly with golf distribution personnel to provide training and support to improve distributor effectiveness on Rain Bird messaging.
  • Account Planning: Conducts account research by leveraging internal tools to identify potential business development opportunities for target accounts.
  • Prospecting: Proactively engages with customers using email marketing automation tools and other outbound prospecting methods such as cold calls emails and virtual meetings.
  • Lead Generation: Generate and qualify new leads for our field sales organization and distribution channel by effectively building relationships with multiple customer persona types.
  • CRM & Data Management: Contribute to maintaining our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system by updating customer records tracking interactions and ensuring the accuracy of data. Provide training to team members on CRM tools as needed.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and track the performance of your business development efforts and effectively follow up with your field sales partners to ensure leads are converted in a timely manner.
  • Multitasking: Excel in a fastpaced environment by effectively juggling multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain strong customer relationships establishing yourself as a trusted industry resource and partner.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12 years of experience and/or internships in sales business development marketing and/or similar roles.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to navigate adversity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills via phone virtual meetings and email.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and commonly used business software (i.e. Word Excel PowerPoint Teams Power BI)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration marketing or related field.
  • Experience as a sales/Inside Sales Specialist with a track record of achieving goals.
  • Proficient in using CRMs to manage activity customer followup actions etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and apply problemsolving techniques in virtual conversations.
  • Desire to grow your career and assume roles of greater responsibilities.
