Customers think about shopping anywhere and anytime while making breakfast while driving home at work in the bus. They create lists for their personal use to share with friends and family and to inspire other customers discover the millions of products Amazon has to offer. We strive to find new and contextuallyrelevant places to offer List functionality to continuously improve the shopping experience for our customers.
This Software development position with Amazon Lists is a fit for someone who enjoys and thrives owning low latency highly available stacks/services requiring strong problemsolving skills has a solid computer science foundation knowledge of backend design patterns APIs and takes pride in operations excellence.
Successful candidates must also be innovative flexible selfdirected and able to design and write highperformance reliable maintainable code. This role requires the ability to creatively deal with ambiguity be datadriven and juggle crossorganization complexity. Key job responsibilities
Work on the following:
Frontend technologies such as HTML CSS JS TypeScript and Node
JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
AWS offerings such as EC2 ELB DynamoDB Fargate Lambda S3 SQS SNS Cloudwatch
Native AWS (NAWS)
Design and architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
