We are currently seeking a UI/UX Designer who is well versed in user experience design to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who can create and implement high impact product experiences that redefine an internal auditors daytoday activities to keep the entire company compliant. In this role you will help define the customer problem to be solved validate multiple product concepts with customers and work closely with the development team to deliver solutions.
You will work in close partnership with leaders in business design product and tech to solve challenging problems achieve scalable results and deliver innovative experienceled product strategies.
What Youll Do:
Youll be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities including:
Strategy & planning
Collaborating with technology product and business teams to uncover customer and business needs then translating them into intuitive and engaging experiences
Translating complex ideas into understandable concepts that evolve and enhance the product experience
Exploring the possibilities of AI data science machine learning and other emerging capabilities as a means to protect the resilience of Capital Ones portfolio
Engaging in portfolio prioritization to help set the strategy and product road map for the team
Managing through shifting priorities to provide clear direction
Providing input on product prioritization in support of early product definition
Advocating for the customer through humancentered design methods including discovery research sketch sessions and user testing
Championing for the prioritization of customercentered product enhancements grounded in research and analysis
Working with partners and teams across various geographies
Embracing and advocating for a humancentered design mindset
Discovery & delivery
Supporting early product definition by working with partners to facilitate discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunities
Demonstrating familiarity with design tools to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams
Driving endtoend product design by:
Working with researchers to understand customer needs and expectations
Framing problems defining insights and designing new methodologies/practices to serve customer based outcomes
Creating process and user flows wireframes journey maps interaction models and low to high fidelity prototypes
Planning and facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs
Designing within existing and creating new standards to contribute to our internal design system best practices and guidelines
Storytelling and presenting visual concepts to various stakeholders
Creating high fidelity design assets for acceptance and delivery in partnership with technology partners
Basic qualifications
At least 4 years of experience with User Experience design
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following: data visualization design graphic design user interface design
3 years collaborating with crossfunctional teams
2 years designing and delivering user interfaces
2 years of experience with Figma

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $109000 $124400 for Sr. Associate DesignCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
