About this role
About the Role:
Were on the lookout for a techsavvy leader to join our team as the Private Markets Data Extraction Team Lead. If youre all about data and AI this is your jam. Youll be working with the latest tech like Large Language Models AI Orchestration Frameworks (think LangChain) Spring GIT/ADO Solr Cassandra and more.
Our team is part of Aladdin Data and the role will be charged with steering the strategic direction of our data initiatives. By working closely with the Data Product and Technology teams you will ensure our data exceeds client expectations in both scope and quality.
Plus youll get to dive into the world of finance learning all about risk management valuations and operations.
What Youll Be Doing:
Craft strategies for automated data extraction from semistructured and unstructured sources (like regulatory docs) to deliver automated pipelines that give our org the data it needs.
Use cuttingedge AI/ML models and both new and classic tech patterns to build scalable and reusable solutions for data extraction challenges.
Build an extensible platform that democratizes data ingestion and extraction making it easy for everyone in the biz and our customers to use.
Own the tech architectures design principles and app governance while managing diverse global teams of engineers data scientists and other tech pros.
Collaborate with team members across different offices and countries.
Provide topnotch technical input during team discussions on software design and implementation.
Help junior team members grow in their careers.
What You Need:
B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with at least 12 years of professional experience.
Ability to clearly explain tech strategy and objectives.
Handson experience with objectoriented programming in Java and Python.
Experience designing and building APIs and Microservices.
Strong experience with OpenSource tech stack (Spring/SpringBoot Apache Solr Protocol Buffers LangChain Docker).
Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases (like Apache Cassandra).
Experience working in Agile Development Teams.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to quickly learn new concepts.
Great interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience mentoring junior software engineers.
Good to have:
Experience with cloudnative development (Kubernetes Docker) and Cloud Platforms like Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with opensource publishsubscribe frameworks like Apache Kafka.
Exposure to Large Language Models (OpenAI LLMs) AI app development frameworks vector databases and NLP.
Domain expertise in finance and financial services.
