Durango School District 9R is accepting applications for a Behavioral Interventionistto join the team and work alongside the SPED Teacher BCBA and Special Education Paraprofessionals in the Autism Center at Florida Mesa Elementary School. Must hold a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification at time of hire or obtain an RBT certification within 30 days of hire. This position is 1.0 FTE includes benefits and begins March 3 2025 or ASAP.

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Student Support Services Department and the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) the Behavior Interventionist provides behavior intervention support to students and staff in the implementation of behavior plans across district schools. This position is 193 days 183 days fall duringthe Academic Calendar for the school district the additional10 days are during the month of June to support Extended School Year (ESY). The placement of the 10 days in June are scheduled by the end of Januarywith the direct supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:Minimum: Bachelors degree of related subject from accredited university.
EXPERIENCE:Experience working with behavior management and intervention systems is required.
