Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for troubleshooting and supporting iPads used by students teachers

and staff as well as performing data entry and management tasks related to educational records and

technology usage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology strong problemsolving skills and

a commitment to supporting the educational community. The position will be under the supervision of the

Executive Director of Technology as well as the Mobile Device Managers and Instructional Technology staff.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Strong technical troubleshooting skills especially related to iPads and iOS devices

Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) systems and educational apps (e.g. Apple Classroom

Apple School Manager Jamf)

Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)

Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with students

teachers staff and parents

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws (e.g.

FERPA)

Patience and ability to work with a diverse group of students educators and parents.

Experience:

One or more years experience working with students preferred

One or more years experience troubleshooting iPads mobile devices or technology support in an education

setting preferred

One or more years experience with data entry managing records or administrative support in an

educational environment preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Provide technical support to students teachers and staff for iPads including hardware software

and connectivity issues.

  1. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device performance apps operating system updates

and syncing.

  1. Ready materials and technology applications for use as requested.
  2. Set up and configure iPads ensuring they are ready for student use.
  3. Collect and maintain records payments and signatures and prepare notifications as needed.
  4. Receive and process materials and equipment and reconcile with databases.
  5. Work closely with the IT department to ensure devices are uptodate with the latest software.
  6. Maintain physical and computerized files.
  7. Assist with administrative records and prepare required reports.
  8. Coordinate device repair and replacement as needed ensuring minimal disruption to educational

activities.

  1. Ensure data integrity accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g. FERPA).

Copier computers mobile devices projectors and other equipment as appropriate

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged use of the computer

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling climbing kneeling stretching and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment;

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) and frequent lifting of books boxes and technology equipment.

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional districtwide travel

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

Frequent districtwide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May be required to be oncall 24 hours a day. Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with all district personnel.

Afterhours oncall to maintain consistent continuous operation of district network.
