Job Description:
In this newly created role in the European Supply Finance team you will be the key reporting accounting governance and internal controls lead for our Royal Canin (RC) Factory in Bruck (BRK) in partnership with the Plant Manager and Supply Finance.
As Financial Control & Governance Manager you will ensure that proper accounting and control processes are in place to support complete accurate timely and highquality financial statements enabling financial insights for your factory. You will be networking and benchmarking with other Controllership Teams and experts within the Mars organization.
This is why this initially fixedterm role with potential of extension is primary located in Austria in Bruck (or Vienna) but could be based hybridly from other locations within DACH and Benelux geographies with physical presence in BRK on agreed frequency.
What are we looking for
University degree or equivalent preferably in Accounting
Solid accounting and finance background with track record of delivering results in financial statement reporting obligations including an understanding of US GAAP regulatory requirements and internal controls
CPA/CIMA/ACCA or other professional certification as well as SAP or equivalent ERP system experience a plus
Ability to navigate ambiguity in financial decisionmaking with strong analytical skills to interpret results a digitalsavvy approach effective communication and experience driving policy standards while engaging with senior leadership
Proficiency in Englishrequired preferred advanced level of German highly beneficial for local communication
What will be your key responsibilities
Quality of Accounts: Ensuring the integrity of balance sheets and P&L through collaboration with our Shared Service Center resolving complex accounting issues maintaining relationships with the Finance team and reviewing regular financial accounts for your factory.
Financial Reporting: Delivering timely and accurate financial information for your factory coleading monthly closing meetings conducting structured analyses of financial statements driving actions from monthend reporting and managing yearend audit processes with internal and external auditors.
Governance & Control (G&C): Overseeing the implementation of the controls framework and testing plan collaborating with the Plant Manager and factory team to address gaps and monitoring G&C KPIs while driving continuous improvements in alignment with the broader RC Governance agenda.
General: Fostering a collaborative culture between finance and nonfinance teams championing controls to create a trusted working environment contributing to the Supply Reporting and Governance agenda driving RC/RC Controllership projects and transformations and supporting the implementation of new systems or business models.
