We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join the Services Team at Newport Corporation (Newport Corporation is a brand within the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions division) as a Test and Calibration Technician in our ISO 17025 certified Photovoltaic Laboratory (PV Lab). This role will be onsite at our North Logan Utah facility.
The PV Lab Test and Calibration technician performs tests and calibrations of photovoltaic cells and related equipment as scheduled by the Calibration Supervisor and Customer Service Representatives by following procedures and work instructions controlled within the laboratory management system. This role reports to the Calibration Supervisor in the Operations organization and works closely alongside Quality and Engineering teams.
You Will Make an Impact By:
The Test and Calibration Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness organization and operation of the laboratory. They are expected to assist in performing tests related to method modification as well as new method and software development and validation. They respond to customer queries for technical support and data validation. They also submit ideas for improvements in the quality system and/or the measurement and calibration procedures.
