Your new role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administration Team Lead to join our team. This role is critical in developing robust architectures innovative solutions and delivering operational support for our enterprise database systems.

As Team Lead you will provide technical leadership and work closely with a team of specialist database administrators across a range of technologies including MSSQL Oracle MongoDB and DB2. You will bring deep expertise in MS SQL Server operations and support while contributing to the alignment of database technologies with broader enterprise strategies across a hybrid computing environment.

A strong focus on delivering effective business outcomes and maintaining a securityfirst approach is essential. Collaboration with other technology teams will be key to ensuring secure scalable and highperforming database services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in MS SQL Server operations and support with broad knowledge across multiple RDBMS and NoSQL platforms
  • Experience in leading database administration teams within enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of cloudbased database services (Azure SQL AWS RDS)
  • Proficient in performance tuning clustering automation and highavailability configurations
  • Strong leadership collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to security best practices and continuous improvement

Skills And Experiences

What youll need to excel

  • You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to hold and maintain a baseline clearance
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge training and/or experience essential
  • Minimum 3 years experience database administration
  • Demonstrated ability to balance and meet project and operational goals with the capability to lead inspire and work within a cohesive high performance team environment
  • Ability to prioritise meet deadlines manage changing priorities and problem solve
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g. SQL PowerShell PHP Python) for database management
  • Skills in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Analysis Services (SSAS) Reporting Services (SSRS) and Always On Availability Groups
  • Experienced in working with backup solutions such as Commvault or similar
  • Demonstrated experience employing ITIL based service framework including change management practices
  • Experience developing and presenting technical and project documentation including transition plans support plans processes and schedules
  • Successful engagement communication and collaborate with internal and external stakeholder
