Position Summary / Career Interest:
Physician Hospitalist Medical DirectorThe University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus is seeking a Medical Director Hospitalist to join its expanding team in delivering the highest quality of care.
The candidate will provide medical care for inpatient services with 24/7 inhospital coverage. Patient care is scheduled in shifts including day swing and limited night shifts shared equally among group members with limited interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role.
A nocturnist program is in place. The candidate will also participate in educational and administrative conferences as directed by their immediate supervisor including participation on subcommittees relevant to their area of practice or education.
The ideal candidate is boardcertified or boardeligible in Internal Medicine with boardcertification for longterm employment and a graduate of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine; additionally we are currently accepting candidates requiring J1 Visa sponsorship.

About the University of Kansas Great Bend Campus:
The University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus includes a 33bed notforprofit hospital providing shortterm acute care services along with orthopedic obstetric and surgical care units radiology and an emergency department including Level IV trauma services. The medical pavilion also located on the Great Bend Campus provides specialty ambulatory care including obstetrics/gynecology family medicine general surgery and specialty clinics.
In the Great Bend community The University of Kansas Health System also has St. Rose Medical Pavilion. St. Rose Medical Pavilion located on Broadway Avenue provides Family Medicine (Including Family Medicine with Obstetrics and Family Medicine with Sports Medicine specialty outpatient care including cardiac rehab and various specialty care clinics during the month. It also provides a Convenient Care WalkIn Clinic for nonemergency situations.
The University of Kansas Health System employs approximately 400 associates in its Great Bend Kansas facilities.
About Great Bend Kansas:
