You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the Associate Director of the Institute for Community Prosperity this position will lead the coordination and facilitation of several high profile community engagement programs for the Institute. The Community Program & Research Strategist is responsible for the design coordination and evaluation of select Institute programs that further MRUs commitments to changemaking community engagement and communitypartnered research. This position is also responsible for research and knowledge mobilization related to Institute initiative and publications.
Responsibility 1 30 : Program Development & Evaluation
Lead the codesign and planning of select cocurricular and communityfacing programs led by the Institute for Community Prosperity including development of curriculum and program materials.
Integrate culturally sensitive aspects into the program design and facilitation including cultural protocols.
Integrate accessibility into program design and facilitation with consideration of equity and inclusion.
Design and deliver presentations and workshops to engage faculty staff students and/or community members in elements of the program design.
Design and implement methods for evaluation into program delivery
Collect evaluation metrics and analyze participant feedback for reporting purposes and to ensure continuous program improvement
Responsibility 2 40 : Program Management
Coordinate the delivery of high quality program offerings of select cocurricular and communityfacing programs led by the Institute for Community Prosperity.
Lead the promotion marketing recruitment registration of program offerings.
Develop relationships mentor and engage students faculty and external community organizations in program offerings.
Coordinate all aspects of program delivery including facilitation guest speakers catering room rentals and ongoing program administration.
Ensure the program operates within budget.
Responsibility 3 30 : Changemaker Campus Engagement
Leverage and promote MRUs Ashoka Changemaker Campus Designation. Working with Change Leaders MRU Change Council and the Office of Research Scholarship and Community Engagement help create develop and implement programs and events related to activating promoting and celebrating changemaking on campus
Support the Ashoka U redesignation process as needed.
Student engagement Connect and engage with the MRU Student Union student clubs and classes to promote activities programs and highlight changemaking opportunities on campus.
Faculty engagement identify and connect with faculty members on campus from different disciplines to profile changemaking work identify opportunities for collaboration and share knowledge through workshops and events.
Foster and facilitate institutional connections with other offices faculties institutes on campus including the Office of Equity Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Indigenization and Decolonization
Responsibility 4 10: Research & Knowledge Mobilization
Conduct research related to Institute initiatives and publications including interviews focus groups secondary research and literature reviews.
Assist in the production of Institute publications reports and case studies including writing editing and design review.
Present and disseminate learnings from select Institute program offerings to build awareness and promote the work of the Institute.
Other duties as assigned.
