This position is suitable for a motivated Podiatrist looking to develop their highrisk foot clinical skills. The role covers all aspects of Podiatry and includes seeing patients for neurovascular assessments (including toe brachial indices on every patient) wound care Charcotneuroarthropathy management critical limb ischemia general care and nail surgery. You will enjoy an exciting and varied workload with a high level of clinical complexity.
The team works with multiple specialities both face to face and via telehealth to provide better outcomes for our patients. This position will be well supported by our passionate team which includes a Level 3 Senior podiatrist and a Level 1/2 podiatrist through regular group and individual supervision. You will be introduced to the case load on a graded basis and will be provided on the job support and mentorship as required.

The New England region of NSW is known for its impressive landscape and historic small country towns. It is a large farming region with incredible bushwalking tracks beautiful National Parks and spectacular waterfalls. If you love country music youll love Tamworth with museums and memorabilia on all aspects of the genre. You can take a trip to Armidale and explore the many small towns along the way. Popular spots to visit include the Moonbi Ranges the museum and craft shops in Uralla and the nearby fossicking area. The New England region is the beating heart of country NSW and offers everything that the city life offers without the traffic and queues.
The New England Podiatry service provide Podiatry care to a number of key sites in the New England region with the support of the Royal Flying Doctors Service. The team has a strong commitment to Closing the Gap and together with their Aboriginal Health Practitioner received an award for the Healthy Deadly Feet Program. This program was rolled out by the Ministry of Health in 2019 and aims to reduce preventable amputations in the community through providing high risk foot care to patients with acute foot pathologies. Tamworth is one of only two sites in New South Wales who were successful in kicking off the Healthy Deadly Feet Program we are proud of the part we have played in having a purposeful impact on Aboriginal communities.
About You:
This position is suitable for a Podiatrist who enjoys a fastpaced environment. Support and mentorship will allow you to develop your skills in the management of highrisk foot complications.This is an ideal role for a Podiatrist who is looking for experience in rural and regional practice as well as interdisciplinary care.
