Wabash/Sequoia Manor is seeking an experienced and handson Service Manager to lead maintenance operations for our residential community. As our Service Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team and ensuring that all service requests unit turnovers and preventative maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. You will coordinate with vendors and contractors manage work orders and partner closely with the Property Manager to maintain the propertys physical integrity and curb appeal.
Diagnose and perform repairs in HVAC electrical carpentry drywall flooring and general maintenance
Oversee unit turnovers including movein and moveout inspections and timely completion of repairs
Schedule coordinate and supervise contractors vendors and thirdparty services
Conduct regular property inspections to identify interior and exterior maintenance needs
Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules
Manage and update the work order system to ensure timely responses and accurate documentation
Collaborate with the Property Manager on maintenance updates project timelines and service request followups
Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies
HVAC Certification required
Minimum 3years of handson maintenance experience preferably in residential or multifamily housing
Strong knowledge of plumbing electrical and carpentry is required with an emphasis on plumbing due to the aging piping system at this community
Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal
Outstanding time management and organizational skills
Proficient with maintenance software and comfortable learning new technology
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with residents and staff professionally
Familiarity with fair housing regulations and cultural sensitivity
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
High School Diploma or equivalent required
