Job Description

About the Role:As the Camp Youth & Family Director you will play a key role in shaping youth and family experiences at the YMCA. You will oversee the development management and of seasonal camp programs as well as yearround youth and family programming. Your leadership will help create a safe engaging and enriching environment for children and families while driving membership growth and community engagement. Key Responsibilities: Program Planning & Staff Development * Design implement and oversee highquality camp youth and family programs. * Recruit train and develop a diverse team of staff and volunteers. * Foster a culture of learning collaboration and continuous improvement through coaching and performance evaluations. License & Safety Compliance * Ensure all camp programs comply with licensing regulations safety protocols and YMCA standards. * Develop policies and procedures to maintain a safe and engaging environment for all participants. Relationship Building & Communication * Build strong relationships with participants families and community partners. * Work collaboratively with leadership teams to enhance program offerings and support membership engagement. * Represent the YMCA in leadership meetings and community initiatives. Qualifications: * Minimum age of 21 years. * Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred but not required). * 12 years of supervisory and program experience with a demonstrated ability to lead motivate others toward a goal and handle difficult conversations. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people. * Experience in program development curriculum planning and skill development coaching. * Proficiency in Google Suite Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to navigate software systems. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment. * Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as needed for programs and events. * A collaborative mindset motivated by the YMCAs mission vision and values.
