Charlotte Central School is seeking an energetic paraprofessional to join our school team. We are looking for skilled caring individuals to assist supervise and provide support to all assigned students/groups as directed by a licensed professional.
The candidate will be an advocate of inclusive education a problemsolver and strong collaborator and a positive team ability to promote child growth foster independence and a willingness to learn areessential.
Potential for flexible hours and a willingness to substitute for classroom note that lifting may be a requirement of this job.
Position may include:
- Supporting instructional activities (including behavioral instruction) developed and adjusted as required by a designated professional
- Collecting data to share with designated professional(s)
- Supervising students when assigned including lunch and recess duties
- Fostering independence so that students can fully participate in school activities
- Communicate with appropriate educational personnel and related service providers
- Participate in team meetings upon request
- Provide support for students on bus route
