Pay range for this position is $27.30/hr $28.35/hr.
This is a midlevel position to work as a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to): receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities maintain accurate inventory operate fork lifts operate barcode scanners and operate hand tools (Banders etc.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
- Previous forklift experience required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Required/Preferred Experience
- Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency required.
- Basic computer skills and use of barcode scanners.
- Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred.
- Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process preferred.
