Overview:
The Homecare Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will additionally assist the homecare manager to assure regulatory and compliance with applicable regulations policies procedures and expectations. This includes compliance assessments with USP <797> <800> DEA and FDA regulations CMS guidance and State Board of Pharmacy requirements. Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of and compliance with policies procedures and processes within the pharmacy work area/department and participate in workflow on a regular basis and oncall responsibilities when assigned during off hours.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians by managing time and attendance and schedule conducting performance reviews and goal setting and completing all necessary corrective/disciplinary actions and followup for direct reports.
- Lead technicianrelated operations with the pharmacy work area and work inconjunction with pharmacy manager/director to develop and maintain processes and workflows for the entire work area/department.
- Act as hiring manager to recruit interview select and onboard pharmacy technicians which includes coordination of interviews orientation training and competencies and maintaining onboarding/training program.
- Assist with tasks/projects to ensure compliance with policies procedures and all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Participate in committees and educational programs within the team department and/or organization as appropriate to meet team department and organizational needs.
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelors degree preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
Certifications:
- Certification by examination as a pharmacy technician (i.e. CPhT ExCPT) prior to start state required.
Skills:
- Demonstrates ongoing competencies knowledge and skills of a pharmacy technician within their pharmacy work area.
- Leadership and teamwork skills which align with Nationwide Childrens mission vision and values in a pharmacy work environment.
Experience:
- Three 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy area related to the position preferred.
- One 1 year of experience at Nationwide Childrens Hospital preferred.
