Standard (MonFri)Environmental Conditions
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Cleanroom: no hair products jewelry makeup nail polish perfume exposed piercings facial hair etc... allowed Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery) Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses gowning gloves lab coat ear plugs etc. Will work with hazardous/toxic materialsJob Description
Position/Location Specific Information
- Manufacturing Technician II Second Shift LVLM
- This position is based out of our Grand Island NY site within BioProduction Group.
- The scheduled shift pattern is Monday to Friday 2nd Shift 2:3011:00pm
What will you do
- Use of equipment that includes mixers mills blenders pumps filtration systems packaging and laboratory equipment.
- Weigh measure and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to assure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities.
- Calibrate and operate manual semiautomated and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting for equipment.
- Follow all safe practices policies standard operating procedures and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.
- Complete and maintain compliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
- Complete moderately complex tasks related to manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as required to meet the business goals and requirements.
How will you get there
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Formal training in Lean 5S or manufacturing processes is preferred.
Experience
- Required: Minimum of 1 years of work experience in a manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field
- Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Follow multistep instructions and document accurately for safety and quality.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes and adept at identifying practical process improvements.
- Proficiency in completing and training others effectively to accomplish departments processes.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Capable of lifting moving up to 50 pounds standing for extended periods squatting bending and reaching during tasks.
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including uniform steel toe shoes hair net beard guard (if necessary) safety glasses and gloves. Additional PPE such as bump cap face shield and respirator may also be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $16.10$24.15.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
