Work Schedule:20 hours per week evenings/weekends 6pm10pm) preferred.

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Spring

Pay Rate: $15

Job Description:

The Studio and Equipment Manager position will join a team of professional and student staff who facilitate creative media and audiovisual work in the libraries. You should have an interest in creative practice and community building with a drive to learn new technologies techniques and teaching approaches to guide patrons in creative media projects and grow our offerings in the Creative Media program. This role will serve as evening manager for Creative Media activities in the Experiential Learning Commons. Expertise with audiovisual equipment and effective uses of studio spaces for audio and visual work is expected.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and support student Creative Media Specialists in performing duties as assigned.
Troubleshoot and maintain library media studios and offer guidance to patrons in their effective use if requested.
Oversee the media equipment loaner program in the evening. Troubleshoot equipment issues and offer guidance to patrons in their effective use if requested.
Advance the programming of the Experiential Learning Commons including authoring and leading workshops creating orientation guides and highlighting patron work through various communication channels.
Build communities in the Experiential Learning Commons around media literacy.
